Individuals submit projects online and service providers provide
online estimates for those projects. All you have to do is
fill out our simple online form, click submit, and wait for
interested service providers to come to you. The best part
about our service is that you can compare estimates from multiple
companies online. You can also view company profiles and ratings
from past customers. All of this information appears in one
place in your password protected account so you can compare

What kind of projects
can I submit?
You
can submit any type of project at ContractWars.com whether
it is residential or commercial; installation, maintenance,
or construction; big or small. Visit our "Submit
A Project" page to view a complete list of categories.
Choose "miscellaneous" if you can't seem to find
the right category for your project.

What information do
I have to provide?
First,
we will ask you some general questions about your project
and then you can add your own comments to explain your
project in greater detail. Next, we will ask you to provide
contact information. You can then upload photos,
drawings, or designs to illustrate your project. This portion
of the form is optional, so you may skip it if you do
not have any files to upload.

Am I required to choose
one of the companies that has bid on my project?
No. You are under no obligation
whatsoever to hire any of the companies that have bid on your
project.

How
long do I have to wait to choose a company?
You
can choose a company at any time. Please hire a company on
our website so that we can notify the winner and take your
project offline so you won't receive any more phone calls
or messages.

What is the "message
board"?
The message board is a
way for you to communicate online with all of the service
providers who are interested in your project. If you prefer
to remain anonymous, or simply do not like to use the telephone,
this is a great way to set up appointments with service providers
or supply more information about your project to everyone
at once. If you choose to remain anonymous, the message board
is the only way service providers can initiate contact with
you. The message board you use is private to your project,
meaning only you and interested companies can view the messages
posted there. You can also send private messages to specific
companies if you wish to reveal sensitive information such
as your phone number or address. To access the message board,
simply login to your account and click on the project you
want to view.

Can I change my project
description or upload files after I submit my project?
You may not change your
original project description, but you may add information
through our online message boards that can only be seen by
you and the companies interested in your project. Currently,
you cannot upload any additional files. Please read the instructions
and tips that we provide to determine what to include in your
project description.

What are "ratings
and reviews" and who rates your member companies?
Ratings and Reviews come
from past customers who used ContractWars.com, interacted
with our member companies in some way, and then filled out
a form rating the companies from 1-5 in the areas of friendliness,
cleanliness, timeliness, and quality of work. Our Ratings
& Reviews are there to help you compare companies and
choose the best one to help you complete your project and
have a good experience all the while. Anyone who has researched,
interviewed, or hired a member company can rate that company.

Do you verify the identity
of your member companies or "pre-screen" them?
Each company must provide
their credit card information for verification purposes when
they register. We do not pre-screen our companies for several
reasons. First, we want to empower you by giving you the tools
to research companies yourself and come to your own conclusions.
Second, if we screened our member companies we would be excluding
the less-seasoned of the bunch and the unlicensed. Not all
projects require a license, and you should be able to choose
a less experienced company if you wish. Third, this service
is free to you and we want to keep it that way. Pre-screening
can be a time consuming and costly process. You can view all
the information provided by the company, and use our tools
and tips to help you verify this information. You can also
use our rating system to help determine if a company is the
